TAVLO / SUPPORT
A little help.
Then back to it.
Getting started, finding your controls, or sorting out a hiccup.
We’re here to help you get back to your time.
Good to know.
Which timers are free?
Porcelain, Studio, Sunday LCD, and Folio are free, including Focus, Work, Clock, and all timer settings. Other designs can be previewed before unlocking Tavlo Collection.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Tavlo Settings and tap “Restore purchases.” Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Your monthly subscription must still be active, or you must own the lifetime unlock.
How do I cancel monthly or switch to lifetime?
Open Tavlo Settings → Manage subscription, or your device’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Tavlo. Cancellation stops future renewals. Buying lifetime does not cancel monthly automatically; cancel the monthly subscription separately to avoid further charges. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
What if a purchase is pending or unavailable?
A pending purchase unlocks once Apple approves it. If prices cannot load, check your connection and try again. You can continue using the four free designs. Contact us if a completed purchase is still missing after restoring.
How do I start a timer?
Choose a design from Vintage, Bold, Digital, or Editorial. In setup, choose Focus or Work, set your duration, and tap “Let’s begin.” The running timer opens in landscape.
What’s the difference between Focus, Work, and Clock?
Focus alternates work sessions with breaks for your chosen number of rounds. There is no break after the final round. Work counts down one uninterrupted session. Clock shows your local time in 24-hour format.
Where are the pause, reset, and exit controls?
On Bold and Editorial timers, tap the timer face to reveal the controls. They hide again after a few seconds. Vintage and Digital designs have controls built into their cases. Pause holds your session, reset returns it to the beginning in a paused state, and exit takes you back to the collection.
Why won’t Break or Rounds go below 1?
Focus mode allows breaks from 1 to 30 minutes and 1 to 8 rounds. Minus becomes unavailable at 1. Choose Work mode for a single session without breaks.
Can I keep the screen on?
Turn on “Keep screen awake” in the gallery’s Settings or your timer setup. Tavlo keeps the screen awake during a running session or in Clock mode. If the app is in the background, your device manages the display as usual.
Will my timer keep time when I leave the app?
Yes. Timers use their scheduled end time, so Tavlo catches up when you return. Enable notifications if you want an alert when a session or break ends while you are away.
Why didn’t I hear an alert?
Check “Timer sounds” and notification permissions. On your device, open Settings → Notifications → Tavlo and allow notifications. Silent mode, notification sound settings, and iOS Focus can affect what you hear. Clock mode is silent.
Why does the clock keep changing when I pause it?
In Clock mode, pause stops the decorative motion. The displayed local time stays live.
How do I report a problem?
Include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, timer design, and the steps that led to the problem. A screenshot can help. Please leave out passwords and other sensitive information.
